5 things!!

Ok, so there are many things that I love about Noah and Ally, but I am going to just say 5 things each.

Noah at 3 1/2:
1. Noah loves to cuddle with you and cover up. He likes to get as close to you as possible.
2. When he says cute little things like "Home Pepow" instead of Home Depot or "Handy Mandy" instead of Handy Manny. I love you is "I wuv you." When asking if he wanted to watch a new movie Madagascar, he said, "What gas car?"
3. When he wakes up, the first thing he says is "where's Awee?"
4. He squeezes Ally when he hugs her and this makes her so mad. He really has good intentions. He loves her so much.
5. I love how cute and innocence he is after he gets out of the bathtub and puts on his dinosaur hoodie. He loves to chase us around and pretend he is a dinosaur. Oh, how I don't want him to ever give this up.

Ally at 22 months:
1. Ally is so wild and unaware of how dirty she gets. When she eats, she makes the biggest messes. Her hands, face, the floor. Anywhere. But she does want to eat by herself and she does not want us to feed her. That is a big plus.
2. I love it when I get her out of the car at her meemow's house and she always wants to know where the moon is. It never fails. Everytime.
3. The way she waddles when she runs. It is the cutest thing. Or how she wants to dance all the time.
4. The way she talks with her hands like she has something really important to say.
5. How she is not modest at all. For example, out at the lake this weekend we are parked on an island. Ally has had a bad diaper rash or some sort of rash, so we let her go without a diaper. She squats down and is talking to Travis and all of a sudden someone notices that she is doing number 2 right where everyone is sitting. Doesn't faze her at all. She just goes on talking like nothing happened. How you have to love those moments.

Aren't kids so funny!

30th birthday!

So, I have hit the 30s. I was a little sad because I feel like when you are in your 20s, you still are young. But I think I am over it now. The 20s were great with lots of good memories, but I hope the 30s will be even better. Maybe I will be a little wiser now. It will be a lot of fun seeing my kiddos grow and master this big world.

Travis threw a little get together on Saturday night for me. It was suppossed to be a surprise, but he ended up telling me on Friday evening. He had everyone write a little something about me which was very sweet. When he handed it to me, of course, I cried. It was a little out of the ordinary for him to do all this. He got into my email address book and just picked a few friends. He apologized for not inviting everyone. He didn't really know who to invite. We had hotdogs and hamburgers and Travis ended up cooking them a little too long. I will post a picture so you can see.

A work in progress!

Noah and Ally love their new home. They love running from room to room and riding their toys in the empty dining room. They love it when daddy chases them in the new house while pretending to be a dinosaur. We are slowly putting things in their places, although I feel like it takes forever. It is a lot of fun though.

Here a few pictures I have added. Oh by the way, this blogging takes forever to get the hang of it. I am having trouble at downloading pictures, adding pictures to the blog and just finding time to do it all. It is much easier just reading other people's blogs and adding a comment. But I am trying. Here is Ally taking a nap in her baby bed. Can you tell she is holding her baby and "blankie." She loves her blanket and loves carrying her babies around. It is good to see her in her own bed because since we have moved, she and Noah have both been sleeping with us. Hopefully, that will end soon.

The other two pictures is a before and after shot of my mamaw's chest she had given me. She has had it for a very long time and I always told her that I wanted it when she didn't need it anymore. She had painted it several colors and when I got it, I thought I would go ahead and sand and paint it. I figured out pretty quickly that I really don't like doing that kind of thing (and when is their really time). My new friend, Alica, paints and refinishes furniture so I had her come over and take a look at it. She said she could do it and we talked about the color. I had originally wanted it to be black, but when I noticied all the colors in my rug, I thought a green color would bring some color to my entry way. She said she new the perfect color. When she delievered it, I absolutely loved it! It added so much color and character to the chest. I could have never have picked that color in a million years. Thanks Alica!

A new place called home.

Well, after 5 1/2 years of living in a wonderful home where Travis and I started our marriage off in, brought 2 babies home to, and made many memories in, we decided to move on. This weekend we moved into a new home. It was bittersweet as I was cleaning our old and getting ready to say goodbye. I know this sounds silly, but it was really hard. I brought my babies home to this house. I made two plain rooms into two cute nurseries where my babies played. When the house was emptied and cleaned and ready for the new owners, I took one last look of the place I new as home for almost 6 years. Tears flowed down my face as they are right now. But then I kept telling myself that this is just a home on earth and my final home is with my Lord and Savior. He doesn't want us to get to comfortable in one place. So, I wiped away the tears and shut the doors. I knew it was time. As we were leaving, the new owners arrived. I knew them a little before and I started talking with them. I was asking them if they were excited and what their plans were. And if it hadn't already been a stressful and difficult day, they said that that night they were going to paint Ally's precious pink and green room. I held the tears back until we left. Travis didn't really understand, but attempted to console me with you can paint their new rooms.
Well, I know this is probably a silly thing to get so emotional over, but I can cry at the drop of a hat when it comes to thinking that my kiddos are growing up. I am sure they will grow out of their cute language and silly characters, but hopefully Ally will not grow out of calling Noah "bubbie" and Noah calling Ally "Awee."

Weekend fun!

Well, the weekend started out a little early for us. On Thursday, Noah and Ally's friend, Tess, came over for a swim at Mimi's and Pawpaw's pool. Noah and Ally love playing with her and can't wait for baby brother Hutch to join in on the fun.

The next day, we all got to go to my cousin's Stephanie's house, also know as Overton Acres. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a great time. My sister's children were also there and Alexis got to enjoy the paddle boat with cousin Molly while Noah got to swing from the zip line. Anna Klaire and Ally rode the see saw and tire swings with Meredith and Susan. It was such a fun day. Thank you Stephanie for having us and making memories for mamaw and for all of us.

Later that evening, we headed to Hot Springs for a little lake time. Our good friends, Laura and Adam, got to enjoy the lake with us. Noah and Ally love Meemow and Peepow's new pontoon. Daddy takes them tubing with him while mommy prays every minute they do not fall off. They love it though. Noah loves it when daddy falls off and wants him "to do it again." I can't believe how beautiful and peaceful Lake Ouachita is. It is so nice just to get away from reality for a bit.

It was a great weekend, but at the end of the day on Sunday, we all were worn out from a busy and exciting weekend. Now time to rest up for another busy week.

A child's language!

When Noah and Ally talk and pronounce their words, it is the cutest thing to me. I keep telling Travis we need to get a tape recorder to record them talking to one another. They really do not have long depth conversations, but when they do speak to one another, it melts my heart.

Things Noah says:
Although we do not watch Spongebob, great grandma gave Noah a spongebob toy. Noah calls him "Spongejob." It is so funny.
We just recently bought a new house and everyday Noah wants to know if our new house is there yet. "Is it ready yet, Mommy?"
Noah always has a "good idea" as he would call it.

Now when Ally talks, she talks and talks and talks. She uses her hands when she is talking to you like everything she says is so important.
Things Ally says:
"Hold you"(like every other child), she calls Noah "bubbie"; "rock rock" when she wants me to rock her; "sunshine" when she wants me to sing "You are my sunshine"; she says "hand" when she wants to take you somewhere; when you ask her a question and she wants to do that particular thing, she says "sure", but it is the way she says it that is so cute.

These are just a few memories I want to write down and share before I forget and they stop saying them.
