The Canyons at Park City, Utah
Travis and I had the chance to get away for a vacation with our friends, Laura and Adam and Dave and Jill. We went skiing in Park City, Utah! It was gorgeous!!! God's work is so amazing and beyond my understanding. The temperature was in the 20s and 30s but colder up on the mountain. It was a little cold, but we didn't mind. It was really my first time skiing and I really wanted to give up after the first 20 minutes. My teacher, Jill, wouldn't let me quit and the next time we went back up, I did much better. She was a great teacher. It was soooo much fun! I just wish I was a little better. Everyone we went with were really good. They had all been skiing for a long time. Travis hasn't been a long time, but you sure couldn't tell it. He was great! He loved to go fast he said! I on the other hand did not. I took my little time so that I wouldn't get hurt. I did have a few face plants though. They were not fun. Everyone was exhausted at the end of the day. It is a lot of work skiing. There were little kids out there better than I was. It was precious watching them. They weren't scared at all. They pick it up so well. We would love to get Noah and Ally up there one day (when we can afford 4 plane tickets the way they are costing these days). I think everyone should attempt skiing in their lifetime. If you don't necessarily want to ski, you should at least go visit there, because the scenery is just beautiful.
