Life is Grand!

My dear friend, Miceala, tagged me with this Life is Grand award which means I have to list 5 things that makes my life grand. Here they are:
1. I am going to combine the three most obvious ones which is my relationship with my Heavenly Father whom I tell all my struggles with, my relationship with my wonderful husband whom I share all my thoughts and struggles and the joy of being a mommy to two of the most sweetest individuals I have ever met.
2. Life is also grand when you have girlfriends/sister/mom who will laugh at the silly things you do, but also who will pray for you when you are in need of prayer.
3. I love my job! I love making a difference in someone's life. I enjoy it when some of my patients get well enough to go home by themselves, when in the beginning, they felt like there was no hope.
4. I belong to an amazing church and church body! I really realized that this weekend and I appreciate that even more so now!
5. Life is grand because I have a roof over my head, food on the table, clothes for my body and the ability to get up every morning and tell my family that I love them!
I tag all my bloggy friends, so that means Anna, Tracy, Jill, Ashley, Amanda, Heather (although you have already done), Jennifer, Tambrey, Georgia, Jana, Leslie, Becke' Brandy, Casie, Jenny and JoAnn.

Providence

At church the last few Sundays, our preachers have been teaching in Habakkuk and it has been amazing!! This past Sunday Jim taught on Habakkuk 1:5-11 which teaches that everything that happens is an activity of God in which He guides in a created order for His purposes. This is known as providence. It isn't luck or coincidence that things happen the way they do. God is in control of it all. This spoke to me in many different ways. The one I want to share is something I tend to look over and not acknowledge as often as I should. It has to do with my children. I feel very blessed and honored that the Lord has entrusted me with raising these two precious individuals. It seems like an everyday thing that people have children and just go on living their lives. It hit me that Jesus gave me these 2 babies for His intended purpose for my life. That is so overwhelming to me. I feel like half the time I don't know what I am doing parenting a 2 and 3 year old. It can be sooo hard sometimes. But He did this for a reason and I am so blessed to have my other half there for reassurance and help. I couldn't do it without both my main men guiding and helping me. It is an honor being Noah and Ally's mommy. So, this blog is intended to be a journal for them and want to share a few things why I love them right now in February 2009!

First, there is Noah! He is the most tenderhearted little boy I know. He hardly ever takes up for himself and would rather not fight. I guess that can be good and bad. He absolutely loves his little sister. The first thing he wants to know when he wakes up is where she is. He calls himself a big brother so proudly. He loves kids! He always wants someone to come over and play. I ask him if he is going to leave me when he gets bigger and he says never. He says he will always live with me. I am not sure if Travis will like this because he already fears the overly bonded with mother wound. He is just my sweet little boy that I want to stay at 3 years old. I can't believe in less than a month he will be 4! Oh, how I love him so.

Then there is Ally. She is our little firecracker, miss personality, hate it when I can't my way! But still just as sweet as ever. When I pick her up from work, she runs to me and hugs me really tight and says, "Mommy, I am so glad you are here. I missed you so much!" At dinner time, when we are asking them what made them happy that day, it never fails that she always says "seeing mommy." She will never say anything. I am just waiting for the day, or maybe not waiting, for when she says something else. I love it that she wants to sit with me all the time, maybe too much though. I love her because she is different from Noah, yet the same in many ways. She is truly a blessing to our family and we love her very much!

These are just a few things why I love my kiddos and feel blessed that the Lord has allowed to share them with me. I know it is for His purpose and my prayer is that I don't disappoint him too badly because I know there will be times of that.
